Opened in August of 2006, Pike Modern quickly established its reputation as the leading gallery in the Delaware Water Gap and
Pocono Mountain region. Located 75 miles from Manhattan in Milford, Pennsylvania, the gallery features the works of established
and emerging artists in a variety of media.
Some people said Pike Modern Gallery opened up in the wrong place, that a small town wasn't ready for contemporary art. Others
told us we need more paintings of cows and barns, while another said she had nightmares after our opening. Yet we know we're
exactly where we should be.
In fact we named the part of town we're in, The WEAD, the West End Art District, because it's full of artist planting deep roots.
And though we love the city and its glamour, the WEAD has something else. More passion. less fashion and a lot less overhead that
lets us create and play outside of the economic demands of NYC landlords. So whether you're looking for something to fill up the
void in your life, your Co-op or your house in the country come visit and BE SURPRISED.
Locals welcome and Manhattan-ites too. Pike Modern Gallery in the WEAD. Whether we're your little art home away from Chelsea,
or your new art home in the country come visit us and you'll be happy you did.
